Tourist and Transit
From Stockholm to Hong Kong – a conversation between distance and design. Two worlds, one rhythm. A collaboration with Ceannis – shaped by motion, intuition and the need to carry what matters.
Today, we live, travel and move in ways that constantly create new patterns. We shift between contexts – between cultures, cities, work and private life.
In a daily rhythm of movement, boundaries blur and the map is redrawn – with new threads stretching across the globe. Between places, people and memories.
What once felt like a world away – geographically and culturally – now lies just around the corner.
As our worlds converge, the need to carry what we truly need grows – what’s required for the next place, the next meeting, the next moment.
In the shift between then and now, between here and there – the bag becomes the constant. Now, just as before. Our trusted companion through the new topography – in a life of motion.
Six years after our last collection was launched, we met again – Ceannis founder Ann-Louise Andrén and designer Viktor Erlandsson – over dinner in Hong Kong. The same city where everything once began.
The conversation drifted to what we had already created – and what might still be waiting. With nothing more than a pen, a sketchbook and the feeling in the air – intuitive, simple, and close – the work came to life again.
The analogue approach, shaped naturally by the context of travel, opened space for both precision and spontaneity. Ideas were discussed, shapes were sketched, materials weighed in hand. A process at a different pace – but in a rhythm we both recognised.
When Viktor returned home, he left behind hand-drawn sketches, which Ceannis – with its technical expertise and intuitive sensitivity – transformed into physical products. That so little could become so much is a clear expression of a collaboration led by trust, skill, and shared understanding.
Shared experiences of always being on the move took shape in two bags – Tourist and Transit – designed for different situations, but united by the same essence: elegant, considered, and ready to blur the line between leisure and work – when we need to carry it all, and still keep the essentials close at hand.
Made to last. Designed to follow – again and again and again.
